Trip Description

A superb introduction to Himalaya trekking including all the main elements: excellent and exciting trails, ridgetop paths with extensive views on both sides, campsites with wonderful outlooks (watch the sunrise over Nepal from your tent door!), continually changing environments as we climb and descend, different cultures and religions, a high pass to cross (the Laurabina La at 4610m.), a sacred site to visit (the lake at Gosiankunda) and new and dramatic vistas from day to day.

Views on the route of Gosaikunda and Helambu Trek include all the main peaks between the Annapurnas in the west and Everest in the east. The trek begins at Sundarijal on the outskirts of Kathmandu, finishes at Dhunche and is followed by a bus journey back to the capital.
